Supportive Living
Smoky Lake Foundation provides Supportive Living homes in Smoky Lake and Vilna.
At these residences, we provide around-the-clock support that allows seniors to live independently in a safe, comfortable, and socially stimulating home environment. All meals are made fresh and delicious in our kitchens and served in dining rooms at flexible times to meet residents’ personal preferences.
Our recreation programs give residents the option to get up and out and to be engaged in interesting activities, including exercise classes, excursions and special events. Residents live in self-contained suites and studios with housekeeping and linen services provided. Small to medium-sized pets may be accepted with prior written approval.
Independent Supportive Living accommodations are based on the priority of need, and rates are based on the Alberta Provincial Affordable Housing Strategy.
Designated Supportive Living (DSL) The Foundation partners with Alberta Health Services to provide accommodations and care for individuals who are living with a physical disability or mental health diagnosis, and who are medically and physically stable. Memory Care is provided through Alberta Health Services for individuals with moderate to severe dementia and is available at Bar-V-Nook Designated Supportive Living (up to DSL4D) and Vilna Lodge and Jenny’s Cottage (DSL3).
